Henry Mancini composed some of the most enduring melodies of the 20th Century, transcending the genres of film music and jazz. Celebrating this magical music Mark Nightingale and Alan Barnes, both record breaking British Jazz Awards winners ( Best Trombonist and Best Saxophonist, respectively), return to Dean Street  following their two sensational - and both sold-out concerts, playing the music first, of George Gershwin in Autumn 2021  and earlier this year the music of Cole Porter.

Mark and Alan’s previous concerts, with their remarkable and unique arrangements, held our Dean Street audience in a spell of admiration. This concert with the Magic of Henry Mancicni will equally not disappoint. 

Mark and Alan are joined by a fast rising new star of the U.K. jazz scene, James Davison on trumpet and the Gareth Williams Trio. 

Sit back and enjoy a rare journey through the highlights of this amazing catalogue of work, including “Moon River”, “Days of Wine and Roses”, “The Pink Panther”, the themes from “Peter Gunn” & “Charade” plus the fabulous latin inspired “Meglio Stasera - It Had Better Be Tonight” and many more, with arrangements by this award-winning front-line.

Expect an dynamic evening of lyrical and swinging playing by some of the UK’s finest.
