The Naked Eye is the alias of London-based, French-English and singer-songwriter Frenchie. Growing up in Grasse (south of France), The Naked Eye’s inspiration comes from Jazz, Soul, Folk, RnB, Brazilian and Alternative.
‘Brave Hope’ featuring Ruby Wood (Submotion Orchestra) and MOBO Award nominated Jazz guitarist and producer, Femi Temowo, is the 2nd single taken from The Naked Eye’s most recent release ‘New Eyes’ EP. The Naked Eye performed a home editions, live acoustic performance of the 1st single ‘Emmanuel’ for MAHOGANY video sessions.
The ‘New Eyes’ EP follows 2020’s release of ‘Covers’ EP and 2019’s ‘Love’s Grave’ EP with production from up-and-coming producer Conor Albert. The Naked Eye’s cover of ‘Don’t Cha’ recently gained the attention and praise from Nicole Scherzinger and Glamour magazine.
Citing influences that range from the great singer-songwriters such as Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen and Nina Simone through to contemporary artists including Nai Palm, Lianne La Havas, Emily King, India Arie, Laura Mvula, Jono Mcleery, Puma Blue, James Blake, Feist and Bon Iver. The Naked Eye’s output is consistently sophisticated, intriguing and firmly marks her out as one to watch.
