The Songs of Blossom Dearie

Iconic American singer/pianist Blossom Dearie, one of the last supper club performers, was a favourite at Ronnie Scott's club. Her unique vocal style and accompaniment personalized every song she sung. This concert is a homage to her repertoire. After living in Paris and London, Blossom returned to her native New York and for 7 years performed at Danny's Skylight Room on West 46th Street where she performed her last engagement in 2006. Appearing tonight with London-born Zoe Francis, who also started singing in New York, are award-winning guitarist Jim Mullen, pianist Kate Williams and bassist Mick Hutton.
