Join the 2017 Kenny Wheeler Prize winning Tom Barford and his quartet as they play an exciting set of original compositions alongside some of his favourite tunes by the greats of jazz. Joining Tom will be the incredible David Ferris on the piano, Jay Davis on the drums and Ferg Ireland on the bass. Tom is rarely seen playing in London this year so this gig is not one to miss. Tom has slowly been making his presence known on the global jazz scene with his well received debut album release Bloomer and with his co-lead album AuB, both released on the Edition Records label. Previous performance highlights for Tom have included Ronnie Scott’s with Billy Cobham, Three performances at the Royal Albert Hall, Album launches at Kings Place, and multiple international tours as a sideman.

Tom got to know each member of his quartet in separate bands as a sideman. Each member has a unique voice on their instruments and are band leaders in their own right too! Tom’s love for the sax-led quartet sound has led him to form this selection of amazing London based musicians. You can expect a set of feel-good swing, thought provoking contemporary jazz and well known jazz classics arranged for the modern day jazz quartet.
