Tony's long and eclectic career in the music business began after he left Bristol, to move to London and become an original member of Iron Maiden. He stayed with the band as keyboard player, writing, rehearsing and gigging but left before they signed their deal after deciding that keyboards didn’t really fit in the line up.

He then joined a band called Tanz Der Youth with Brian James from The Damned and spent a year touring and recording. They released one single on Radar Records that got the support BBC DJ John Peel who invited them to do one of his legendary sessions.

During the early 80’s Tony released an album of his songs under the group name Radio Java (signed to Carerre records) which lead to an Xmas hit in Holland with a song called FOOL. In 1986 he went on to become keyboard player in Cutting Crew (I Just Died In Your Arms) and toured the world opening for acts like The Bangles, Starship and Huey Lewis before leaving during the making the second album to sign a solo deal with a small label in London.

In the late 90’s he founded and ran the seminal London songwriters venue, the Kashmir Klub, where he played a role in the early careers of artists like Damien Rice, KT Tunstall, Imogen Heep and for the last 14 years has repeated the same concept and format at The Bedford where he’s been at the beginning of artistic journeys for acts like Paolo Nutini, Ed Sheeran, Newton Faulkner and many more.

After a chance meeting in 2011, Tony began working with emerging artist ILONA as co-writer, producer and touring musician. At the start of April 2013, Soho Radio launched in London and Tony was invited to present a regular weekly show which features live music, interviews and special guests. With over 150 shows under his belt and more than 300 guests, the show is one of the longest running on the station which, at the end of 2016, was awarded Best Online Radio Station In The World in the Mixcloud awards.

Through the summer of 2015 he worked in Berlin acting in a brand new movie called Mr Rudolphos Jubilee, playing the part of ‘Colin’ an enigmatic, complex but humorous Hit Man ! It had it’s world premiere in Berlin on January 28th to a sold out audience and is currently being seen across Europe. Tony is currently working on material for a new album and has recently released his first single in many years, a powerful ballad called Perfect And Beautiful. For the rest of 2017 he is lining up a series of live shows in the UK and USA as well as releasing further singles.
