The foundation of Marilyn the icon was her unique blend of childlike innocence and provocative feminine sexuality. Despite of her in indisputable fame as a “Bombshell” and one of the world’s famous actresses in the 1940s, Marilyn largely contributed to set the standards of the Jazz and Swing golden age in the late 1940s. Her iconic breathy brassy singing voice singing 'My Heart belongs to Daddy', 'I’m through with Love' or the eternal 'Diamonds are a girl’s best friend' are history. Today actress and Jazz singer Viviana Zarbo pays Marilyn homage with an evening of jazz standards and Musical songs related to Marilyn’s persona and era, with a glittering trio of brilliant musicians: Marco Marconi on piano, Marco Marotta on saxophone, and original arrangements.

A versatile artist, made her artistic debut at age 15. After that she performed in different plays such as the musical "Cleopatra", an Italian production of "Evita", and "Signori si va in scena" (an Italian tribute to Bob Fosse). In addition she has performed in an international tour (Italy, New York, Berlin and Sao Paulo) in the musical "The Dreamboat".

Since 2012 she is based in London, where she studied at The American Musical Theatre Academy of London and performed in differrent plays such as: "Twelve Angry Jurors", "Elegies for Angels Punks and Raging Queen" and "Sweet Charity" directed by Kenneth Avery-Clark.

Recently, she has approached the world of jazz, researching common features between jazz music and musicals, performing at several and well known London  venues and has developed an innovative repertoire of music and songs somehow recalling the music of the forties/fifties, which she endeavours to re-interpret by drawing inspiration from great female singers like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Anita O'day,  Sarah Vaughan, and the theatrical verve of actress-singers like Julie London, Marilyn Monroe and Judy Garland. 

She recently finished to record her jazz standard debut album, which was arranged by Renato D'aiello and Mark Bassey. The album will be released in early 2018.
