Charlie Bicknell and Louise Innes 'Cabaret with Balls'

The Pheasantry (Chelsea)

Charlie Bicknell and Louise Innes embark on a new show with their own inimitable mash of the irreverent and surreal.

From Flashdance to Simon and Garfunkel interspersed with stimulating radio broadcasts from BBCs ‘Back Row’.  Expect AC/DC and even a throw-back to Not the Nine O Clock news. Cabaret with Balls is a refreshing departure from real life and an arrival at the conclusion that it’s all bollocks anyway.

Welcome back Benedict Cumberbatch and of course, Charlie will still be Holding out for that Hero.

Charlie Bicknell and David Harrod have worked together for an awfully long time. Meeting at the drama school Rose Bruford where Charlie graduated to play many many prostitutes and drug addicts as well as leading roles in the West End, Royal National theatre, Birmingham Rep, Chichester etc and in TV and film where she earned a dubious reputation as the lodger from hell in BBC2s This Life.  Charlie has since morphed into a cabaret singer and as such has performed in venues all over the world and at many private events in unusual venues such as the Portuguese Ambassadors Embassy, Theo Fennels jewellery shop, Oliver Bonas' living room, Clivedon House Helipad and by now she is sure you will have finished reading so she'll stop.

Louise Innes made her Royal Opera debut in 2010 singing Mercedes in Carmen. She returned to sing Javotte in Manon, a role she has also sung in Japan and at La Scala, Milan. Other roles include Carmen and Sesto (La Clemenza di Tito) at Opera North, Carmen at Opera Holland Park and Castleward, Cherubino at Garsington, and Mercedes at Opera Comique with John Eliot Gardiner and Dido in Bordeaux. She is a regular on the oratorio platform - And at this point Charlie cut the biog as it was far too long and impressive and out-biog-ed her. Who's the star in this show anyway?

Will Robinson, was Charlie’s gardener, no really. He was coerced into working with Charlie.
