The tweed-clad 10-piece brass powerhouse, Old Dirty Brasstards, burst on the scene with their exhilarating party jams and unique interpretations of indie classics. They have wowed audiences at top venues such as Bush Hall, Fabric, the Forum, Hammersmith Apollo, KOKO, the Roundhouse, Scala, and XOYO; supported renowned artists like Basement Jaxx and The Hoosiers; and delivered barnstorming sets at major UK festivals such as All Points East, Bestival, BST Hyde Park, Mighty Hoopla, Glastonbury, Latitude, and Leopallooza since being formed by Chris Smith and Richard Turner in 2012.

After forming in 2012, Old Dirty Brasstards have been bringing their bombastic renditions of chart hits to iconic festivals across the UK. The crowds of Bestival, Glastonbury, Latitude and Secret Garden Party alike, have all been introduced to their innovative covers, ranging from Mark Ronson’s 2014 hit, ‘Uptown Funk’ to Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake It Off’ to Pharrell Williams’ record-breaking winter track, ‘Happy’.

This ten-man group, comprised of London’s finest musical talent, has graced renowned venues such as Fabric, Kentish Town Forum, Hammersmith Apollo, Koko and Scala. Their unique and fresh approach to rock, hip-hop, RnB, soul and funk music has earned them residencies at a number of London venues.

So, prepare to dispose of any preconceptions you may have. Their quaint and tweed-cladded dress code is merely a façade to their truly explosive live performances. King Brasstard and his band of musicians really are more than the average village fate entertainers. With their rocking renditions of ‘Don’t You Want Me Baby’ and their swanky take on Rhianna’s ‘Where Have You Been’, they are sure to get any age group up and moving.

To date, they have played a multitude of impressive sell-out shows, as well as private functions for all those wishing to have a good time. With their refreshing spin on brass band arrangement, the Old Dirty Brasstards are set to remain at the heart of any great party.
