'She is a sublime live talent'

Close Up Culture

Rachel's background in theatre adds an extra dimension to her performance, which is both exciting and moving for her audiences.  Her new album 'A Million Conversations' was described as 'a revelation......the music is of the highest quality' by Jazz Views and 'a delight....a timeless, yearning aura' by AP Reviews. As both an actress and a singer, she has performed all over the world, most recently in the world premiere of 'Lansky' at The Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank and Cadogan Hall, where her immaculate performances received great acclaim - 'stand out performer' London Jazz News. Rachel's work as a lyricist has been included on the album 'In My Wildest Dreams', featuring Liane Carroll, Lance Ellington and Jane Milligan. Tonight's show will feature The Great American Songbook, beautiful arrangements of more modern material, Christmas classics and some of Rachel's achingly tender original pieces. Amongst Rachel's band members is a very fine headline act in his own right - the versatile and brilliant Roland Perrin.  On drums, the extraordinary Paul Robinson, who played with Nina Simone for many years, and the contagious grooves of multi- talented bass player, Curtis Ruiz.
