Esteemed jazz pianist and composer Terence Collie, renowned for his solo piano endeavours and stellar collaborations, is gearing up to grace the stage of at Pizza Express with his latest ensemble, featuring the talented musicians from his critically acclaimed album “384,400".

A Musical Journey Unveiled:

Terence Collie's journey in music began at the tender age of 12 when a keyboard became his portal to a lifelong passion. His musical prowess evolved through self-taught exploration, joining bands, and performing extensively in Jersey in the Channel Islands. The allure of jazz captivated him, leading to pivotal experiences at the Blue Note Jazz Bar and sharing stages with icons like Teddy Edwards and Georgie Fame.

From Jersey to London:

Upon returning to the mainland UK, Terence secured a residency at Pizza Express in Cambridge, honing his skills with solo performances and duos. His commitment to musical excellence led him to study music with the Open University in the early 2000s.

A Jazz Fusion Odyssey:

In 2011, Terence founded the jazz-fusion group "Prison Break," marking the beginning of his journey into self-recording and producing. Two albums later, he ventured into event curation with Mood Indigo Events, organising jazz festivals and concerts, including the successful TW12 Jazz Festivals.

Milestone Albums - "Reminiscent" and "384,400":

In 2017, Terence self-recorded the piano trio album "TC3+," blending jazz with the Konvalia String Trio. Fast forward to 2023, the pianist released the solo piano album "Reminiscent" - “The album is stunning…Terence Collie is an artist whose work deserves to be celebrated and I hope that with this new album Reminiscent the eyes and ears of many more will be fully opened to appreciate this wonderful artist.” - Jazz in Europe and the quartet album "384,400." The latter, recorded with a stellar lineup, showcases five original compositions and two jazz standards.
