Between them they have worked with Sting, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Incognito, Prince, James Brown, Steps Ahead and many more. They have also written songs from artists as diverse as Billy Ocean to the world renowned fusion band Steps Ahead among many others.
They have released 2 albums the first of which was nominated for best jazz album at the MOBO awards in 2011.

Their music evades categorisation, surging enigmatically through jazz, classical, hip-hop, soul, folk and everything in between, into a realm of expression that is uncompromisingly their own.

Peter Boizot – founder of the Pizza Express chain of restaurants in 1965 – founded the PIZZAEXPRESS ALL-STARS in 1979 as house-band for his club at 10 Dean Street. Tonight’s celebration of thirty-five years of the All Stars (and 50 years of the PizzaExpress!) sees the reunion of four of the band's original members – Dave Shepherd (clarinet), Digby Fairweather (cornet), Roy Williams (trombone) and Len Skeat (double bass) – alongside a regular deputy with the band, drummer Stan Bourke and a brilliant newcomer – Tim Huskisson – on piano!

Her tenure as BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist created exciting opportunities, not least her collaboration with the BBC Concert Orchestra on three tracks on her acclaimed third album ‘Pocket Compass’. Clowes’ music explores a range of moods and sensations with quiet intensity, creating potential modern standards that combine innovation with her love of the jazz tradition.
