Anna Aarons & Friends

Female Songwriters of Our Time

Event Has Passed

Last Show: Sunday 21 st May 2023

The Pheasantry (Chelsea)

Join Anna Aarons and special guests as she takes a look at some of the most inspirational female songwriters of our time. Covering a range of classics from the likes of Joni Mitchell, Carole King to Adele and Amy Winehouse, Anna & friends also show how these songwriters have inspired them.

Anna Aarons has achieved multiple sold-out shows at Pizza Express Live with her successful tribute evening, In Memory of Amy, dedicated to the late, great Amy Winehouse. In 2022 she also performed a tribute to the late Eva Cassidy - a singer who always performed unique covers of well known songs. Having successfully tributed these two great singers (and songwriter in Winehouse's case), Aarons now brings a new show to Pizza Express Live that pays homage to a great array of female singers and songwriters of our time - from the likes of Joni Mitchell, Nina Simone to Alicia Keys and Adele. Joining Anna will be Irish folk singer Julia Maria, soul singer Tia De Gannes and a Pizza Express favourite, Louise Golbey.

Anna Aarons

Anna Aarons began her singing career as a busker on the London Underground where she often got likened to the late, great Amy Winehouse. This then inspired her to produce her multiple sold-out show 'In Memory of Amy' which she performs annually with her 7 piece band at Pizza Express Live. Anna's original music is a range of soul inspired pop, all inspired by familial influences in her life.
