"Annique proves herself a sharp eyed lyricist with a tender, seductive voice, igniting a raft of deep-toned torch songs from modern-day London with her mix of soulfulness, eclectic jazz and world influences."

Tim Cumming (The Guardian)

Annique regularly performs live around London, recently having played sold out gigs at prestigious venues including KOKO, Ronnie Scotts, The Jazz Café, and The Elgar rooms at the Albert Hall. She has worked with a variety of music producers, as well as lending backing vocals for Trevor Horn, The Gorillaz and The Streets.

Her music has reached festivals across the UK and Europe with notable tours in Austria and Latvia. Earlier in the year she travelled to Africa with Community Albums to work with young people across Kenya. They produced a song and documentary to promote peace ahead of the election, which was shared globally.

It was after meeting critically acclaimed, multi-instrumentalist, Koby Israelite that a new working collaboration developed and quickly a series of songs grew to eventually form their debut album ‘Heads Up’, released on German label Asphalt Tango.

Effortlessly combining Annique’s deep jazz heritage with Koby’s Rock and world music influences, the album offers a mix of ‘french cafeĢ’ vibes, bittersweet pop and heartfelt soul. Songs such as ‘Fallin’’ bring an infectious energy and a striking melodies, while others like ‘Fly Little Bird’ pack an emotive punch with an eerie twist.

Her second Album is set for release early 2018 .
