UK guitarist, Ben Jones, is bringing his soulful, vibey, original material and arrangements to PizzaExpress to celebrate the release of his first solo EP. Joining him are some of the most talented vocalists on the UK soul and contemporary scene, including Tawiah (Mark Ronson), Natalie Williams (Nu:Tone, Incognito, Cee Lo Green) and Vula Malinga (Basement Jaxx), along with Ben’s first choice of London’s finest musicians.

Since becoming a professional musician at only 18, Ben Jones has developed a reputation as one of the most respected, in demand musicians both in the UK and abroad.  Throughout his career, Jones has played with some of the biggest names in music from Kelly Rowland to Will Young, to Lalah Hathaway, spanning several musical genres. He was recently called to play guitar on Mary J Blige’s latest record, ‘The London Sessions’. 

Most recently, Ben has toured extensively as guitarist and Musical Director for Pixie Lott and as guitarist and programmer for Tinie Tempah, featuring in many televised performances for each artist. He has also undertaken major UK and international tours with Westlife, Kian Egan, Sam Sparro and Charlotte Church amongst many, many more. 

His recording work includes albums with Mary J Blige, Will Young, Angel, Westlife, Pixie Lott, Kelly Rowland, Nate James, Lalah Hathaway and more.

At home, Ben’s regular gigs include performing monthly at the internationally renowned Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, as part of Natalie William’s Soul Family. His frequent collaborations include performances with Tawiah (Mark Ronson), Scott McKeon (Tom Jones), PB Underground (Level 42) and his own project with Basement Jaxx’s Vula Malinga, DivaGeek. 

Ben is about to start his 3rd year as guitarist in the house band for UK TV show, The Voice.
