The Songbook series returns with a celebration of Canada's greatest songwriters and performers including Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, Rufus Wainwright, Oscar Peterson and Diana Krall. Following on from Tom Waits, Beatles and Country Songbook nights, singer-pianist Joseph Paice is joined this time by two leading Canadian jazz singers, Heather Bambrick and Lauren Bush, as well as in demand bass player Andy Hamill.

One of Canada’s top vocalists, Heather’s albums are multi-award winning (the prestigious Junos and the Canadian National Jazz Award Vocalist of The Year). She has appeared with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Hamilton Philharmonic and is an in-demand voiceover actor and award-winning broadcaster on Jazz FM 91.

Known for her charming delivery of a lyric and impeccable time, '2016 Sarah Vaughan Vocal Competition' finalist, Lauren Bush, has a new album out this fall. Originally from Canada, she has been touring around Europe and the UK over the past eight years.

ANDY HAMILL has played double bass and bass guitar with many artists including: 4 Hero, Laura Mvula, Eska, Natacha Atlas, Carleen Anderson, Annie Lennox, Kylie Minogue, Mark Murphy, Rebecca Hollweg, Rumer, Tracey Thorn, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Tim Minchin, Tim Vine, Lee Mack, John Hegley and Harry Hill among many others.

JOSEPH PAICE is a singer, songwriter and pianist. His album 'Wonderstruck' was produced by Portishead bass player Jim Barr and featured the horn section from award winning Bristol group, Get the Blessing. He returns to The Pheasantry after his previous successful Beatles Songbook and Tom Waits Songbook shows. Joseph has performed at many top jazz clubs in the UK. He also 'moonlights' as Programming Manager of PizzaExpress Live.
