The Denmark Street Big band welcomes you to this ‘Lindylicious’ afternoon of classic swinging 30’s and 40’s music dedicated to the much-loved Lindy Hop dance which was born in Harlem, New York and Danced in the Savoy Ballroom. Swinging classics include music by Chick Webb, Erskine Hawkins, Fletcher Henderson, Gene Krupa, Benny Goodman, Artie shaw, Count Basie and Duke Ellington. The band will transport you back in time with our special guest vocalist, Sharon Lenihan singing vintage classics with her elegant and classy delivery and sumptuous voice that will leave you dancing in the isles. If Swing is your thing… Then this the show for you.

The Denmark Street Big Band recreates the swinging jazz sounds of the big band era, performing music and songs than span an entire century of music, including  standards made famous by Frank Sinatra, Dean martin,Sammy Davis Jnr, Bobby Darin, Nat King Cole, Ray Charles,Glenn Miller,Count Basie and Ella Fitzgerald along with other legends of ‘The American Songbook’.

Performing these classic songs using the Billy May, Nelson Riddle and Quincy Jones arrangements and using the finest musicians and vocalists in the UK, the band will transport you back to Las Vegas and perfectly capture the unique style and sound of this fantastic era of entertainment.
