While she has recently relocated to the ‘Music Mecca’ of London, Frances may already be a familiar voice. She performed her own women’s anthem ‘She Will Rise’ as the opener to the Women’s Singles Final of the Australian Open 2022, broadcast to an audience of millions world-wide including here in the UK. Over the past ten years, Frances has played to full houses at leading jazz venues and festivals around Australia. She has supported touring international artists including Dionne Warwick and Grammy award-winner Gregory Porter as well as headlining at the acclaimed JZ Club in Shanghai.
Songs from the album ‘Beautiful World’ earned Frances five nominations at the Australian Songwriters Association Awards. The music is now available on all digital platforms.
Frances captivates her audiences with a combination of her genuinely warm stage presence along with a voice and style that are uniquely her own. Her live show weaves originals and classics with flavours of swing, blues, soul, singer-songwriter and a broadly adult contemporary appeal. This special event will also feature some of London’s most talented musicians. As well as Frances on vocals and piano, the show will include: Quentin Collins on trumpet, Rob Updegraff on guitar, Tom Mason on bass and Saleem Raman on drums. With special guest Borbala Bodonyi (BoBo) from Australia on backing vocals.
