Manchester based Jazz & Blues singer pianist Jeremy is one of the UK’s most in-demand singer/pianists. Either solo, or accompanied by his band, he’s been wowing audiences with his natural, soulful voice, and a repertoire of his arrangements of jazz and blues classics and songs spanning a wide breadth of genres.

Jeremy has headlined sell out shows at Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club and Pizza Express Soho, London and at the Jazz Café. He has performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival, The Iridium Jazz Club in New York and regularly headlines at Berlin’s premier Jazz Club The “A Trane”.

In 2014, he recorded his version of the song “The Things We’ve Handed Down” which was selected on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs and hit the number one spot in the iTunes vocal download chart as a result.

He calls upon the services of UK’s finest musicians to deliver a great show with vibe and panache yet musical sensitivity, poignancy and dynamics. Saxophonist Iain Dixon (BBC Big Band, Michael Brecker) and guitarist Mike Walker (Impossible Gentlemen) frequently collaborate and both feature in his 11 or 17 piece show tributing the music of Ray Charles.

He is joined for the Pizza Express shows by Berliner Michael Kersting on drums (Jaco Pastorius, Birelli Lagrene, Chet Baker, Trilok Gurtu), Mancunian multi-instrumentalist & producer Jasper Wilkinson on bass, sax player Alexander Bone (BBC Young Jazz Musician of the year, British Jazz Awards “Rising Star” winner) and Richie Aikman, described by Jeremy as “the most exciting new guitarist I’ve heard in many years”.

“London Jazz Review” said of his 2015 Pizza Express quartet gig “It’s a mark of true showmanship when a performer knows when to change the speed or the vibe, taking the audience on an emotional journey, and that is exactly what Jeremy Sassoon did at his sold-out show!”

Musician magazine added Jeremy was "A surefire success for any jazz club.... and well-worth checking now as a recording artist... "
