“Great show”

Cambridge Jazz Festival

"Imagine a cross between Jamie Cullum and Steely Dan. Lepage Dean combine an irreverent party atmosphere with serious jazz virtuosity to electrifying effect. Be prepared, during one of their thrilling live performances you may well find indefatigable frontman Ollie closer to you than expected as he calls to the audience, waiting for that ‘in time’ response.”

Recently having rebranded his band under his own name, Lepage-Dean, Ollie has just completed a recording session in London with a new CD set to be released before Christmas (2019). This new EP, yet to be titled, will feature new material penned by Ollie, with its official launch marked by a live performance at PizzaExpress Soho in February 2020.

Ollie was born in Brussels, Belgium, but grew up in Cambridge. He was a chorister for St Johns College Choir, Cambridge with whom he recorded a solo CD on Naxos in 2001. He studied at Haileybury College for five years with music tuition from Peter Davis and Quentin Thomas, and gained a place at Trinity College of Music, London, graduating in 2011. During his time at Trinity, Ollie mostly sang classical and choral music but his musical inspiration was diverse and he also sang a variety of musical theatre and jazz repertoire.
