PizzaExpress Live (Holborn)

PizzaExpress Live is very proud to launch a new series of stand-up comedy shows in our Holborn venue. Performers are drawn from the very best UK club comedians - many of whom are award-winners. Each night will feature three great performers. Whether you've come to see someone in particular or are just curious to see a comedy show, every one of the comedians we are presenting is hugely experienced and has sold out shows in their own right.

"Fabbri's distinctively off-kilter views and easy shifting of gears between bewilderment and acute perception is effective. An entertaining hour" - Chortle

"A comedy badass... Naomi Cooper is funny. Know that." - Jeff Garlin (Curb Your Enthusiasm)

Michael Fabbri
Michael Fabbri has been a stand up since 2003 and regularly performs at major comedy clubs throughout the UK and all over the world. He has worked as a writer for Radio and TV and recently had his own stand up series: 'Dyslexicon' on BBC radio 4. He has done several solo shows at the Edinburgh fringe festival and worked as a support act for Micky Flanagan, Lucy Porter, and Stephen K Amos. He has an affable and electric style of comedy, with material that ranges from the cerebral to the smutty.
Michael regularly performs for all of the major clubs and promoters on the UK circuit, including: The Comedy Store, Jongleurs, Komedia, Glee Clubs, The Stand, Up The Creek, 99 Club, Funny Side of Covent Garden, Off The Kerb, CKP, Just The Tonic, GSOH and Mirth Control. He also performs at many universities across the UK. Michael supported Lucy Porter on her national Love In tour in 2008 and supported Micky Flanagan in 2011 at a selection of dates on The Out Out Tour. He also travelled to Amsterdam to take part in the Toomler Festival with Keith Farnan. Not only popular in the UK, Michael has also performed in Singapore, Dubai, Doha and Abu Dhabi.

Joe Wells
Joe's writing career began when his first book Touch and Go Joe about his experiences of OCD was published, since then he has made a name for himself as a stand-up comic, writer and speaker. Joe now focuses mainly on his unique brand of political comedy and in 2012, Joe was asked to support Alexei Sayle on his comeback tour. Joe is now frequently performing stand up in comedy clubs around the UK. Night of the Living Tories was Joe’s debut hour long stand up show, in which he dug up the corpses of the British Conservative Party of the past and put them on display to horrifying consequence. Joe took his follow up show, 10 Thing I Hate About UKIP, to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2016 and in 2017 took I Hope I Die Before I Start Voting Conservative. Joe Wells latest project is called Think Tank, it's a live show and podcast where comedians put forward ideas to a panel of real life politicians.

Naomi Cooper
Naomi trained at Bretton Hall, specialising in classical acting, and graduating with a BA (Hons) in Acting in 2006. Since then she has performed extensively onstage at venues such as the Trafalgar Studios, the West Yorkshire Playhouse, the Leicester Square Theatre, and at acclaimed fringe venues including the Old Red Lion and the White Bear. As a comedian Naomi has performed across the UK, from Plymouth to Edinburgh, and in 2016 gigged in Budapest and Vienna. Naomi was the first female finalist of C Venue's Improvaganza at the Edinburgh Festival in 2009. She is a founding company member of improv troupe ImproBabble who had a residency with the Leicester Square Theatre from 2010 through to the end of 2012. She is a regular on the London stand-up circuit and presented her debut solo show That's Probably Enough at the Leicester Square Theatre in July 2014. Her second solo show KERFUFFLE appeared at the Leicester Square Theatre in February 2016 and at the Leicester Comedy Festival in February 2017.
