"Softly as in a morning sunrise’, captures the listener immediately: the beautifully understated ‘Desires’ is sung with hushed intimacy. It absolutely left me wanting more.”

Michele Ingham

Steeped in music and dance since childhood, Michele is a warm and soulful singer who engages her audience with passion, versatility and northern humour. She has performed at many London venues and is a regular at the Bulls Head, Barnes. Having recently relocated, she is now emerging onto the Yorkshire jazz scene.World travel and living in the Caribbean developed a love of diverse rhythms which she incorporates into her repertoire including Latin, jazz, soul and funk.

Katie Wilkinson

PizzaExpress Live marks Katie’s return to the London scene after some time away. A fan of jazz from an early age she trained at The Guildhall. She has performed in diverse venues ranging from the Bull’s Head in London to the Palladium in Benidorm. She has varied musical influences from Nina Simone to Elvis and Little Jimmy Scott to Shirley Bassey. Katie’s voice was once described by Claire Martin as ‘a pint of Guinness’ – she thinks there’s a compliment in there somewhere!

Sarah Weir

A singer and songwriter from South West London.  She performs in a Americana/Bluegrass band called The Calico Thieves and plays mandolin. We have been building momentum over the last year, playing guest spots performing at a number of clubs & local festivals. Sarah has always  always loved jazz and her love has continued to grow and develop through joining the Richmond Jazz School. Her musical influences are many but I am drawn to gutsy, sassy, husky women singers like Anita O’day, the great blues singer Eden Brent and Rachel Price from Lakestreet Dive, as well as jazz icons such as Billy Holliday, Nina Simone and Ella Fitzgerald.
