Would you like to celebrate Christmas with a twist? Join leading burlesque artist Sapphira accompanied by renowned Italian pianist Marco Marconi for a double dose of fun. Enjoy a plethora of Christmas showtune classics as Sapphira delights you with a sugary sweet soiree accompanied by Marco Marconi's beautiful jazz playing. The show will include the London debut of Sapphira's Piano Showgirl outfit. This unique creation was over a year in the making between Sapphira and Italian designer, Eff Plume. The two designed the costume online during the lockdown not once meeting in person. It is an extrordinary treat for The Pheasantry and all who attend to enjoy the Piano Showgirl number. For those taking part in the workshop, there is no nudity, simply bring a pair of gloves and a boa of scarf. We will email you the Zoom link if you select the online workshop option and also give anyone who selects the workshop option a welcome email with further details. Sapphira dedicates her performance of Sanctuary to Rainbow Properties.

About Sapphira & Marco Marconi

Sapphira is a London-based, Australian-born burlesque entrepreneur, songwriter and author who believes in positive thinking. She is the creator of World Burlesque Day, the Ibiza Burlesque Festival and is the founder of the World Burlesque Academy app which connects 80 countries enabling students to learn burlesque and business skills online.

Sapphira fell in love with jazz watching Rogers and Hammerstein and Marilyn Monroe as a little girl. She was then taken under the wing of renowned Melbournian pianist Ted Wollan performing in her first jazz trio after winning a talent contest singing Frank Sinatra and Peggy Lee. She is renowned for sitting the piano wherever she is allowed!

Marco Marconi is an accomplished, classically-trained Jazz pianist who grew up in the breathtaking region of Umbria in Italy, and who made a life changing decision to move permanently to the UK in 2012 to pursue his musical career. He made the right choice.

His skill as a composer so naturally distinctive and seemingly effortless, he's earned a reputation as a class act on the British festival circuit, the Fazioli Concert Hall in Venice and the buzzing London Jazz Club scene. Marco Marconi and his trio's debut album NORDIK recorded in Venice in 2013, was a well received collection of eclectic genius and garnered rave reviews
