Following five previous sell-out shows, IMC return to celebrate what Tony Bennett called ‘America’s classical music’. From the treasure trove that is the Great American Songbook comes a handpicked selection of the most thrilling, moving and beautiful jazz standards ever written, penned by song-writing legends like George Gershwin, Harold Arwen and Henry Mancini. In an array of dazzling new arrangements, they pay tribute to the jazz legends of the twentieth century that made these songs famous, from Ella and Billie to Frank and the Rat Pack. IMC are an eclectic 8-piece vocal collective who perform original multiphonic arrangements with three-piece jazz trio. Expect smooth, rich harmonies, swinging bass lines and stunning lead vocals.

Established in 2017, the Independent Musicians Collective are an eclectic 8-piece vocal collective who perform with piano/keys/synth, rhythm guitar, bass guitar and drums. They perform stunning original arrangements specialising in jazz, soul, blues, gospel, motown, disco, funk, house and pop anthems. They have performed on London Live TV, at the Troubadour in Earl’s Court, the Hampstead Jazz Club, Pride in London events, and this summer appeared in Cancer Research’s summer musical celebration. This is their sixth appearance at PizzaExpress Holborn, following five sell-out previous shows. Their members have performed on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, at the opening of the Rugby World Cup, live on Jazz FM and at top venues across London including the Southbank Centre, the Camden Jazz Café and XOYO club in Shoreditch.
