Sanjeev is best known for his BBC TV sketch comedy “Goodness Gracious Me” and “The Kumars at No 42”. He also presented and starred in “India with Sanjeev Bhaskar” in which he travelled to India and visited his ancestral home in today’s Pakistan. His dramatic acting roles include lead roles in “The Indian Doctor”, “Unforgotten” and many others. He’s been listed at one of the 50 funniest acts in British comedy and was appointed OBE in 2006. He had a major role in the 2019 film “Yesterday” , in which he and his wife Meera Syal played a married couple.
